Description
This wine is Semillon based with a small percentage of Sauvignon Blanc. The Semillon grape is grown in both France and Australia but, not widely grown in the United States. There are only five acres of Semillon in the Shenandoah Valley of California (Amador County), and the demand for this fruit is extremely high. Baker Family Wines is truly fortunate to be part of that club.

Wine Profile
Food Pairing Notes:
This wine will pair nicely with lighter chicken dishes, summer pastas, and especially well with seafood. The most classic pairing is with oysters.
Production Notes:
The Semillon is from the Shenandoah Valley of California, in Amador County. The Sauvignon Blanc also from the Shenandoah Valley, but some was also sourced from the Fiddletown AVA. The wine was fermented at cold temperatures and was not allowed to undergo a malo-lactic fermentation. The wine was kept cold until bottling.
Tasting Notes:
This wine has aromas of citrus, specifically grapefruit and lemon, and is more tropical in the mouth. The mouthfeel is creamy with notes of vanilla.
Vintage Notes:
Challenged by relatively cool September temperatures and some rain, the loose clusters allowed for good airflow between the berries, keeping the fruit free of mold. Patience paid off with concentrated flavors in this years vintage.
