Description
Layered in dark fruit and spice, this Syrah from our highest vineyard site is a study in intensity and balance. Blackberry, plum, anise, baking chocolate, and black pepper linger around the core of leather and graphite. Its mouth-filling body is accentuated by the soft tannins and lengthy finish. This wine is a fantastic pairing for any grilled or roasted meats.

Wine Profile
Production Notes:
At Brassfield Estate, our winemaking emphasizes quality and the use of traditional handcrafted techniques, which create wines that have both power and finesse. During harvest we used aerative pump-overs and finish with extended maceration with heating of the must. We allowed our wines to undergo malolactic fermentation naturally in our caves. To showcase the fruit and structure of this wine, it was aged in 100% French oak barrels for 20 months. The wine was stirred monthly on its lees to achieve body and texture. This Perspective Syrah was fined, but bottled without filtration.
