Description
Barbera grape is an Italian wine grape variety with a tremendous violet color when hanging on the vineyard with sophisticated acidity and jammy flavours of red and black fruit. The Barbera Grapes are among the most intense, lively, and harmonious grapes we grow in Myles Anderson Valley. The sharpness and incredible flavours allow the students to make different styles of wines at the College Cellars, such as port wine.

Production Notes:
The students applied different methods in the winemaking using the classic Amphorae, which implements natural micro-oxygenation and conserves the flavors and aromas, including regulating the temperature and preservation of wine. Finally, the barrel was topped with 100%, and Malolactic fermentation was completed after the SO2 add.
Tasting Notes:
The Barbera grape is crisp and luscious, exhibiting vibrant cherry candy flavours layered with aromas of violet flavours and favorable growing conditions allowed to a enhance all of your senses. The vibrant flavours fans will appreciate the casual sophistication and elegant structure of this wine.
Vintage Notes:
In 2019 the grapes were exposed to cooler temperatures which helped to retain the notable acidity for this deep purple grape. By the time it was picked, (Early September) the frosts and freezes in early to mid-October was the main concern.
