Description
Riesling fans will appreciate this riesling wine's casual sophistication and elegant structure. The College Cellars students and faculty members are grateful for the donation from the Sagemoor Vineyards; without them, producing this blush wine would not be possible. Bacchus is located in the Columbia Valley AVA. Undoubtedly, one of the best riesling grapes comes from this vineyard site. The excellent position of the west side within the Columbia River and the beautiful Rattlesnake Mountains makes it possible to hold the acidity in those grapes, and the significant elevation helps with natural pest control.

Wine Profile
Food Pairing Notes:
A perfect companion at the table. Riesling is versatile; it pairs well with entrances such as baked brie, a tropical pineapple, or fennel salad. For a main course, pair this riesling with buttery fish, asparagus vegetables, or spicy curries; the little sweetest will elevate Thai food.
Production Notes:
The 2019 riesling was made it in a Stainless Steel tank. A prolonged fermentation helps preserve all the aromatic fruit flavors and golden color. This wine is an off-dry style Riesling. Riesling is recognized for being produced in the country of Germany. It is also picked at different times. Therefore the result of all of the wines is categorized differently.
Tasting Notes:
The favorable growing conditions allowed for a wine with rich aromas and flavors of yellow lemon, Quincy, chamomile, and great golden light color. On the palate, these noble grapes focused on aromatic and tropical fruit profiles such as pineapple, white pepper mint, and Thai basil. This wine has an excellent finish and is versatile for pairing with different foods! Beifall!
Vintage Notes:
Due to the cooler winter temperatures, the 2019 vintage was great for this riesling wine. This wine was picked in the middle of the harvest, keeping out some residual sugar but lighting the acidity. Cooler temperatures contributed to lower overall sugar accumulation.
