Wine Profile
Food Pairing Notes:
Funky wine fans will appreciate this wine's rustic sophistication and elegant structure. The wines from Stoney Vine Vineyard pair very well with Mediterranean or earthy food. Such as Tapenade, Saffron spicy food, Curry noodles, Ramen, and Indian Food.
Production Notes:
The wine production of this Syrah includes 100% whole cluster foot stomp, which encourages enhancing spicy notes such as Bell pepper, Jalapeño, and herbaceous notes to a given wine, which can range from the likes of peppery notes undertones of fresh sage. This wine was fermented in a Puncheon Radoux, French Oak, and Neutral Puncheon with a gentle maceration.
Tasting Notes:
Blackberry flavors meld with ripe tannins, bright fruit flavors of black plums, cloves, and berry cocoa chocolate cake. It is beautifully complemented by subtle notes of black pepper, lilac flowers, and black forest mousse, with ripe tannins that give complete and lasting intensity.
Vintage Notes:
The grapes were harvested on 09/13/19. Despite the cold weather conditions, and challenges, growers and winemakers were very excited about the quality of fruit they picked in 2019!. Syrah is a late-ripening grape variety and tends to be resistant to diseases. The soils of Milton Freewater are mostly Very Cobbly Loam with an Annual Rainfall – Of approximately 14 inches.
