50/50 Cabernet Franc - Merlot. Of all the wines, this right-bank nod was unique. It reminded me of a sleek, lithe luxury roadster with ripe fleshy black tires, Italian leather interior and 180 HP taking you on a sun-drenched ride through the foothills of the Andes. I’ll have rarely ever used the term “German Chocolate Cake,” but I do so in the most sincere, 5-star pastry chef, great grandma’s recipe hallowed tone.

Tasting Notes:

It’s delicious, chocolaty, coconutty, with sweet frosting like tannins. This wine leans more towards a style than terroir and is closing in on optimum drinking.
