Food Pairing Notes:

Mushrooms, hard cheeses, potato gratin, flank steak – Bordeaux-style blends handle big flavors, fat, and proteins superbly. We find it’s a favorite match for homemade anchovy pizza.

Production Notes:

2019 was a bit milder in terms of heat than the preceding 2018 vintage. A long, wet spring paved the way for a delayed yet moderately warm growing season. Large canopies helped maintain a normal grape- ripening schedule, which was crutial when an early October frost cut the growing season short. Bold-flavors, soft tannins, and balanced acids make this vintage one for the books.

Tasting Notes:

Tasting notes Black tea, dark blue fruit, pipe tobacco, and warm spice stand out on the nose. Full-bodied with medium tannins that keep going long after your last taste.
