Wine Profile
Food Pairing Notes:
BBQ Shrimp Salad, Italian Pretzel, Rosemary & Roasted Garlic Beet Hummus, Tomato Risotto
Production Notes:
Making this wine gave me a chance to produce a true European Rosé in a light, crisp and dry style like the wines we produced while I was working as an apprentice and going to winemaking school in Germany. This wine is made in the German “Weiβherbst Kabinett” style.
Tasting Notes:
Good balance, light white pepper on the front palate with a fresh crisp finish. Saskatoons, strawberry, rhubarb, Queen Ann cherry, elegant and delicate are all great descriptors for this light picnic Barbera Rosé.
Vintage Notes:
Produced from the Wilderotter vineyard in the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County. Small yields of flavorful grapes were harvested early to produce a light, low alcohol European style dry Rose of Barbera.
