Wine Profile
Food Pairing Notes:
Zinfandel has moderate tannins and high acidity, making it a fitting match with steaks that contain relatively good amounts of fat. Rib Eye, T-Bone or Porterhouse steaks are ideal partners for Zinfandel. With its great Old World style, this wine can complement a wide range of pasta dishes. Great also with big boldly flavored pasta dishes
Production Notes:
These old head pruned dryland farmed vineyards produce low yields of extractive flavorful Zinfandel.
Tasting Notes:
Fruit forward, rich full flavors expressing both the varietal and the Amador Terroir. This complex wine has notes of bright raspberry, earthy tones, briary Zinfandel character with a fresh finish.
Vintage Notes:
Grown on steep mountainous terrain in the higher elevations of the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County, California. 2019 Spring during flowering was cold a dreary which caused a 50% decline in crop yields at harvest. Because of low yields the long and drawn-out harvest produced exceptional flavor and extractive wines. Blend: 100% Amador County, 96% Zinfandel, 4% Syrah.
